Kristen Waldron DEPUTY PRINCIPAL WELLBEING
M.Ed
In her role as Deputy Principal Wellbeing, Kristen oversees the discipline and welfare of all students, as well as the schools’ Wellbeing and Leadership programmes.
With a Master of Student Wellbeing and a certificate in Advanced Leadership, Kristen capably addresses the emotional, social and physical needs of the students in her care.
With 30 years’ experience at the school, Kristen is highly regarded within the school community and beyond for her leadership, commitment and passion for the College.
Susan Bradbeer DEPUTY PRINCIPAL TEACHING AND LEARNING

Susan Bradbeer joined the Executive in 2020 as the Deputy Principal Teaching and Learning and is responsible for the academic program at College. She has held leadership positions at Methodist Ladies ’College (MLC) in Kew, Monivae College in Hamilton, as a Project Officer for the Victorian Association for Teachers of English (VATE) and conducted a Literacy Research project for Beyond the Bell in South West Victoria.
Susan is currently a PhD Candidate at Deakin University and contributed a chapter to Flip the System Australia: What matters in education (Ed. D, Netolicky, J. Andrews and C. Paterson) Routledge 2019, which offers a range of teacher and academic perspectives on what matters most in education today.
Susan has broad experience in managing curriculum development and the professional learning of teachers. She has excellent leadership skills that have enabled her to foster collaboration, curiosity and commitment in the teaching team, whilst focusing on new initiatives that sustain a culture of deep learning at the College. She is a dynamic English and Literature teacher and has worked in education for over 25 years, striving to engage and enable students to be self-directed and autonomous learners.
Stephen Nelson HEAD OF JUNIOR SCHOOL

Stephen is Head of the Junior School and has over 30 years’ primary teaching, pastoral and leadership experience in Australia and overseas. Prior to his current role, Stephen was an integral part of the Middle Years team at the College Senior School and taught upper primary classes for ten years at the Myrniong Junior School.
He is an experienced and compassionate educator, an avid sportsman, passionate teacher and a leader committed to building capacity and culture to enable holistic development of all staff and students. A desire to become an accredited growth coach has driven Stephen’s professional learning in recent years. He is committed to enhancing the vibrant community spirit, which makes the College’s Junior School inclusive and unique.
Andrew Monk DIRECTOR OF BOARDING
M.Ed
As Director of Boarding, Andrew is responsible for overseeing the welfare and wellbeing of our boarders. He has a wealth of leadership experience, holding positions at Monivae College Hamilton, Scotch College Adelaide, Knox Grammar Sydney and Geelong Grammar School Timbertop campus.
Andrew holds a Master of Education – Leadership, is a Master Trainer in Positive Education, and has a clear passion and enthusiasm for the wellbeing of students. This dedication in the application of Positive Education theory to secondary schools has seen Andrew publish in the field of positive psychology and implement educational coaching approaches. Andrew and his family reside within the boarding community and work closely with our Head of Speirs and Head of Macdonald to provide a caring, compassionate and family-orientated boarding experience for our students.
Jason Bourke BUSINESS MANAGER
Ass.Dip.Business (Accounting)
Jason is responsible for managing the financial, property and people resources which underpin the educational needs of the College. He has competently ensured a strong financial result for the school in the years he has been at the College through prudent use of our resources. Jason is also a vital part and is Company Secretary of the College and Foundation reporting to the Board monthly.
