The Hamilton and Alexandra College has state of the art facilities throughout the whole College, providing the very best teaching and learning environment across the curriculum from ELC, Junior School, Middle Years to Senior school.
Junior School
Our Junior School and Boarding Houses are located here, among 14 hectares of beautiful grounds. Every classroom features easy access to appropriate technology.
Senior School
The Senior School features world-class facilities and purpose-built classrooms set among open spaces. Every classroom features easy access to appropriate technology. Middle Years Positive Education Centre (myPEC) features modern open spaces, with break out study rooms, and abundance of natural light.
Boarding Houses
Located on our Myrniong Campus, offering boarding for 150 students in age appropriate houses. Nestled on 14 hectares of beautiful grounds and gardens the location offers students the ability to walk or ride to a wide range of community sporting facilities. Our boarding facilities include common roms in each boarding house, a large social room, equestrian centre, sports fields and courts. Nutritious meals are prepared by our in-house chef.
Kantor Family Music & Performing Arts Centre
Our Simons Auditorium seats 500 guests for performances, presentations and assemblies. The Tim Murray room offers seating for 300 guests or catering for 200 guests using the attached full commercial kitchen, Hospitality Operations Centre and hospitality class rooms. MPAC also includes a blackbox theatre, private tuition studio, large orchestral rehearsal studio, music technology hub, specially designed classrooms for Drama and Music.
Geoff Handbury Sports Centre
This Centre is an inspiring space that features two international standard basketball and netball courts/multi-purpose courts with a viewing area that seats 400 and a climbing and abseiling wall.
Outside of the Senior school Geoff Handbury Sports Centre are spacious playing fields including an oval, a turf wicket, and an all weather sports field with five tennis courts and a hockey field.
Winifred Berry Resource Centre
This facility features an extensive library collection, computer laboratories, 3D Printer, Green screen, Robotics and break out rooms.
The Library offers staffed academic assistance to students every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening from 3.45pm to 5.45pm.
Equestrian Centre
Catering for students across the ages, the equestrian centre offers an all-weather arena, 18 day yards, extensive undercover stables, a hot and cold horse wash. Boarding students have the ability to agist horses whilst at school.
Our equestrian centre also hosts Riding for the Disabled association in the sand area
Early Learning Centre
Our play-based program invites children to be involved in a wide range of indoor or outdoor experiences, which aim to develop their curiosity and a love of learning. Activities are flexible and open-ended. They are designed to foster each child’s cognitive, social, emotional, spiritual and physical self. Learning development is closely monitor and supported by staff.
Helen Handbury Science Centre
This modern light-filled facility is designed to support an innovative Science curriculum with dedicated facilities for each field of Science, including four multi-purpose high-tech laboratories with home theatre systems.
