DIRECTOR OF BOARDING
The Role
The Director of Boarding is a pivotal leadership position at The Hamilton and Alexandra College, responsible for the pastoral, operational and cultural leadership of the College’s boarding community.
Boarding is central to College life, and this role offers the opportunity to shape a warm, structured and aspirational home-away-from-home for students from regional, remote and international backgrounds.
Working closely with the Principal, Deputy Principal and College Executive, you will play a key role in student wellbeing, whole-school culture and the long-term sustainability of the College.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the pastoral care and wellbeing of all boarding students
- Foster a positive, respectful and nurturing boarding culture
- Recruit, mentor and support residential boarding staff
- Oversee student routines, behaviour management and communication with families
- Design and lead engaging weekday and weekend boarding programs
- Manage boarding operations, policies and daily logistics
- Contribute to College Executive discussions and strategic planning

You are an experienced boarding or residential leader who brings:
- A calm, warm and relational leadership style
- Strong organisational and operational capability
- Excellent communication skills with students, families and staff
- High levels of integrity, professionalism and discretion
- Commitment to child safety and student wellbeing

The Hamilton and Alexandra College has a permanent position available for a cleaner to undertake general school cleaning duties.
