PERFORMING ARTS
College has a strong academic program within a broad and balanced curriculum. The Creative Arts plays a prominent part in our curriculum and Drama is offered from Years 6-12.
INTRODUCTION
We have a strong dramatic tradition at the College and our dynamic productions draw large audiences from our school and the local community. There is a wide range of opportunities for students of all ages to be involved in our annual productions. This may be on the stage as actors and musicians, or behind the scenes with lighting, sound backstage, hair and make-up or supporting the front of house.
FACILITIES
Our incredible Kantor Family Music and Performing Arts Centre features a 519-seat auditorium, a black box theatre, private tuition studios and specially designed classrooms for Drama.
DRAMA PROGRAM
Our Drama Program is part of the core curriculum from Years 7-10. We study a range of techniques and skills that will enable students to grow in confidence on the stage, as well as across many aspects of life. Drama from Years 7-10 is a pathway to VCE Drama, in which College students have seen great success.
PRODUCTIONS
Musical Productions
Here in our Performing Arts Centre we stage musical productions in both Senior School and Middle Years. We carefully select shows that cater for large casts so that students from a range of year levels can be involved. We highlight the extraordinary musical talent within the school and give students the opportunity to develop and refine their skills on a stage with professional facilities.
