Global Opportunities
The Hamilton and Alexandra College’s
Global Opportunities
Students in Year 9 - 12 have access to a wide variety of global opportunities each year.
The Exceptional Student Futures pillar of our 2024 - 2028 Strategic Plan emphasises the importance of expanding extension and enrichment opportunities for our students by developing global perspectives, and supporting international service work in disadvantaged communities.
At The Hamilton and Alexandra College, we are committed to providing opportunities for international and local cultural engagement, so that our graduates arrive into a world they are comfortable in and knowledgeable about. For students to want to make a contribution to the world, they have to understand it, to understand it, they have to be in it.
The past two years have seen our students attend programs such as:
China Cultural and Language Tour
Trekking and service in Sri Lanka
Yale University Model UN in Brussels
Cultural and Language Tour to Italy and France
Recognising the value of these experiences, the College Foundation and the Old Collegians Association have generously established a bursary program to support both international and domestic travel initiatives.
This financial assistance aims to increase accessibility, ensuring that a broader range of students can participate in these enriching programs. The bursaries are designed to alleviate the financial burden associated with travel, thereby enabling more students to benefit from the diverse learning opportunities that co-curricular journeys provide.
This initiative underpins The Hamilton and Alexandra College’s dedication to nurturing a well-rounded education and promoting equal access to valuable learning opportunities for students.
