The Hamilton and Alexandra College Uniform
We are proud of The Hamilton and Alexandra College uniform, and the tradition and values it upholds.
Our uniform identifies our students as an important part of a community, and ensures a positive image in line with our values and our place as an academic school.
Each student is individually responsible for ensuring that they are dressed in the correct uniform and are neatly presented at all times during every school day, including when travelling to and from school.
Students will be advised when specific uniforms are required for special occasions.

New Sport Uniform FAQs
-
The PE uniform is evolving to meet the needs of active students from the Early Learning Centre to Year 12. The current PE uniform was implemented in 2013, with some items dating further back. We have received consistent student and parent feedback on the wearability of uniform pieces and recognised it was time to change the items to reflect current needs.
-
From Term 4 2025, students can wear either the old or the new uniform. However, items of each cannot be worn together. Students should wear either all new uniform items or all old uniform.
-
The new uniform pieces are very similar to the current uniform prices.
The new PE and Sports Uniform is available to wear now, however it is not mandatory until Term 1 2028. This gives families time to transition to the new uniform and purchase core items when needed. -
The Noone Uniform Shop will have the ‘old’ sports uniform available and reduced in price by 50%. Sizes may become limited as the old uniform won’t be restocked.
-
All garments are machine washable, and most can be tumble dried. A majority of the fabrics use updated technology from that used in the old uniform, including sustainably sourced and natural materials.
-
No. We are not making any changes to the formal uniform. However, there may continue to be some small additions to reflect the evolving needs of our student body.
