The Hamilton and Alexandra College Strategic Purpose

The Hamilton and Alexandra College is an ambitious academic school that draws on our strong traditions to prepare students for confident futures. The College’s Constitution sets out that the objectives of our school are to provide:

“an educational experience and learning community for students consistent with the Christian values as embodied within the Church.”

Our values of optimism, compassion, gratitude, respect, and resilience, encourage us to:

  • believe in ourselves and the goodness of others

  • value effort as well as reward

  • show kindness to all

  • give respect and seek to earn it

  • engage broadly and whole-heartedly with the world.

Our strategic purpose is underpinned by four pillars.

Exceptional student futures

Expanding the future for our students by enabling them to realise remarkable learning outcomes, develop leadership skills and access multiple educational pathways.

Exemplary teachers and staff

Maintaining a culture and team that creates exceptional experiences for students through innovation, explicit teaching practices and professional ambition.

Rich community of service

Being a visible contributor to the community by engaging in acts of service, care and relationship building that enrich our lives and sense of belonging.

Sustainable resourcing

Developing and stewarding our resources to create a resilient organisation and rich learning environment for all in our community.
