Meet our Boarding Staff
The Hamilton and Alexandra College’s Boarding Staff
Our boarding precinct is not only home to our boarders, it is also home to many of our staff.
We have two House Parents – one for each house – who support the growth of our Year 7 and 8 boarders. With a focus on organisation and personal support, our House Parents ensure young boarders are welcomed, settled, and growing in all facets of school life. A dedicated Life Skills Program sees younger boarders actively learn lifelong skills that will set them up for success both at school and beyond.
A number of Hamilton and Alexandra College teachers live permanently in the boarding precinct. These staff contribute to the general life of the boarding community, and also provide regular tutoring to boarders during evening prep.
Each morning and evening our College Nurse is available for the boarders, supporting their wellbeing, making appropriate medical appointments and dispensing medication. If a boarder is ill at any stage during the day, our nurse is also available at the Senior School. All staff are trained in Emergency First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis management.
