Support for Boarders

Boarding Support at
The Hamilton and Alexandra College

Support & Care

Dedicated, boarding trained staff care for the boarders at The Hamilton and Alexandra College and contribute to their academic, social, co-curricular and pastoral care.

Academic staff members supervise study sessions during the week so boarders can get help when they are doing their homework.

The College Nurse is available to care for boarders when they are unwell.

Trained chefs prepare quality meals and cater for individual dietary needs. Breakfast and dinner are served in the refectory on-site and a lunch is provided each day, allowing boarders to integrate with the day students at the Senior Campus throughout the day.

Weekly Life Skills Program

The Life Skills and Duke of Edinburgh programs are unique additions to the boarding experience of younger boarders.

With the caring nature of our House Parents and their capacity to guide young boys and girls, these programs aim to graduate our boarders not only into boarding life, but to encourage the value of service, improvement of individual passions, interest in the outdoors, and promotion of physical activity.

Boarding Scholarships & Bursaries

At The Hamilton and Alexandra College, we are committed to making boarding accessible to students from regional and rural communities.

Our boarding scholarships recognise excellence, character, and community contribution, while our boarding bursaries provide significant fee relief for students new to boarding in Years 7 & 8.

Discover how you can join our vibrant boarding community and apply for the right opportunity for your family.
