About The Hamilton and Alexandra College
“At their best, schools are wonderful places — ambitious, joyful, and rich with possibility.”
A co-educational day and boarding school from ELC to Year 12, The Hamilton and Alexandra College is set across dedicated Junior and Senior campuses with modern facilities. Our campuses are expansive enough for exploring and play, while remaining small enough for each student to feel part of the whole.
College History
A Tradition Since 1871
Founded in 1871, and shaped by the later union of Hamilton and Western District Boys’ College with Alexandra College, the College’s heritage runs deep, pairing historic roots with a forward-looking education.
