Neil MacLean

Neil MacLean joined The Hamilton and Alexandra College Board in 2024.  He is a retired teacher who commenced his teaching career at the school in 1978.  In subsequent years, he held a range of curricular and co-curricular roles and was Deputy to four Principals.  He served as Acting Principal of the school numerous times during his tenure.  Neil’s knowledge of The Hamilton and Alexandra College community gained through these experiences, his care of the College Archives and authorship of the sesquicentenary history of the school give him an unparalleled awareness of the opportunities for, and challenges of, a school like The Hamilton and Alexandra College.

Neil’s two daughters, Catherine (2009) and Annie (2012) completed all of their school education at The Hamilton and Alexandra College.
