Stephen Nelson

Stephen Nelson is Head of the Junior School and has over 30 years’ primary teaching, pastoral and leadership experience in Australia and overseas. Prior to his current role, Stephen was an integral part of the Middle Years team at the College, and taught upper primary classes for ten years at the Myrniong.

He is an experienced and compassionate educator, an avid sportsman, passionate teacher and a leader committed to building capacity. Stephen is an accredited growth coach, reflecting a desire to bring out the best in those around him.  He is committed to enhancing our vibrant community spirit, which makes The Hamilton and Alexandra College’s Junior School so unique.
