Sport at The Hamilton and Alexandra College
Following our balanced approach to education, we provide opportunities across a broad range of sports so that all students can engage in physical activity that appeals to them and suits their individual attributes. At The Hamilton and Alexandra College, regardless of skill or experience, students have the opportunity to participate in and challenge themselves through any sport to achieve their personal best.
We emphasise the importance of developing a lifelong commitment to a healthy lifestyle and the ability to work and play co-operatively with others.
Students can choose to play for a school team in local competitions in cricket, netball, basketball, or hockey. They can row for the school in our highly successful and inclusive rowing club. Students can also try out to represent The Hamilton and Alexandra College in a variety of inter-school competitions, including those within the Independent Country Co-educational Schools’ (ICCES) competition and the Glenelg District (GD) competition.
